Jonah's Book

That post a while back about Jonah telling dad what he wanted to be when he grew up reminded me of a little book that I wrote way back. Jonah was one year old at the time and we were celebrating daddy's graduation from dental school. I thought it would be cute for us to make a little children's book from Jonah to his dad as a graduation present. I wrote a cute little story and drew some cute little pictures (I am NOT an artist, as you will see below), and then I let Jonah help me use water colors to color each page before we put it all together in book form. It is priceless. However, after writing that Future Career post a week or so ago, I began to turn the house upside down looking for the book we had written way back. I could not find it ANYWHERE!! It about killed me. I think I tore the whole house apart looking for it. Eventually I gave up and realized that the book may have been forever lost.

BUT... the other day, Jonah found it (hiding inside another book, would you believe it?)! Woo Hoo!
I decided to scan copies of the book just in case it ever got lost again, so here it is:

Obviously, this book has more sentimental value than marketable value. I've never had intentions of selling books, I simply thought it would be fun to personalize books for my kiddos. I also wrote another little book when Jonah was a baby called "Jonah is a sleepy fellow" and I am working on scanning that one in as well so I can have a copy of it also. Both of these books were written early on while I was new to being a mom. Hannah was not born at the time they were written so neither of them include Hannah. This makes me sad. I don't want Hannah to feel left out or un-special enough for a book, so I have decided to write a little book just for Hannah. I am sure I will update you blog readers if I am successful at completing her book.
