Hannah had her very first dance recital today. She rocked. She danced to "Super Star" and she knew her moves well. I was a bit worried before she danced since I have been watching her through the window during her classes and she spends most of her dance classes staring at herself in the mirror instead of watching her teacher. Last week, her teacher even told me that Hannah cracks her up because of the whole mirror thing. (We may have vanity issues in the future if that continues - but I am pretty sure it is just a phase. Really, the whole front wall is covered in mirrors and what little girl wouldn't be slightly distracted, right?)
Mimi and Gramps gave her some flowers and I gave her a little bracelet. I bought the bracelet for $5 from one of my favorite vendors at the Maple Leaf Festival this past weekend. I thought it was quite a steal!
After her recital, we ate lunch and worked on a little craft project at home for a while. Then, about 2:30ish, Hannah started throwing up. She hasn't stopped since. The poor thing has nothing left to throw up, but she keeps dry heaving about every 15 minutes or so because her stomach is so upset. (Side note: Why is it that my kids always seem to throw up just feet away from the toilet and never IN the actual toilet?) She sure is a trooper since she showed no signs of illness during the recital. I know she doesn't feel like much of a super star right now, but she sure is MY SUPER STAR. Love ya, Hannah!
