Busy

I have so much to update on this blog and so many things to share, but things are crazy right now. Lots going on. But I had a to share a few teach and tickle moments from the past few days.

"Kitty" Park
We took the kids (along with Grammy, Papa, Kyle, Vanessa and all the cousins) to the Kiddie Park in Bartlesville. Fun Place. These are just a few of the photos:

My nephew, Micah said something very funny when he got home. April asked him if he had a good time and he explained that he had a great time. Then he explained to her that he rode the train, but that it was NOT a "Kitty Train." Apparently, in building up the park as a "Kiddie Park," Micah kept thinking we were talking up the "Kitty Park." He expected kittens. Cute.

Wisdom From a Four Year Old
Hannah had her first dance recital this past Saturday. As we are leaving the house for the rehearsal, I am frantically looking for our Flip video recorder. It is nowhere to be found. Videos are not allowed at the performance, so the rehearsal is my only chance to get a video of her on stage. I leave the house in a bit of a huff with no Flip. I'm grumpy the whole drive. As we get out of the car, Hannah says, "Mom. It's okay. Life is not all about Flip Videos."

Check. So in 10 years when Hannah asks to see the video of her first dance recital, I will just smile and remind her of how, that day, she was a better woman than mommy. Consider me taught.

(Hannah told me she really had to pee right after I took this picture - hence, the look on her face.)

A New Nephew
Kyle and Vanessa had their baby on Sunday night! Isaac was born three weeks early, and weighted in at 5 lbs 7 oz. He is adorable!

Painting
When we are not going to Kiddie Parks, attending dance recitals or visiting new nephews in the hospital, we are often found painting our house these days. We power washed all the old paint away first, so our lawn is covered in paint chips. In my lame attempt at trying to keep the kids busy and involved (but not really involved) as much as possible, I put them to work filling cups with paint chips. Each cup the fill, they get a small treat. So far, they have filled four. Way to go kids, now you only have 1412 more to go!! *sigh*

Prayers
Prayers are going out tonight for my Grandpa Jones who had a stoke this afternoon. He is currently in ICU, with family driving to see him from all over. Grandpa loves the Lord with all his heart and would no doubt be thrilled to walk into His presence, but we'd sure love to see Grandpa walking in our presence a bit longer. It's all in the Lord's hands, but we covet your prayers.

(Update: I just got a call and they said they think he did not have a stroke, but rather a cerebral hemorrhage. That is good news. Not sure what that means, but they tell me it's good news. Praise the Lord!)

I'm glad to hear that about your grandpa, I've been praying for him. Also, we were supposed to go to the "kitty" park on Saturday but cancelled at the last minute. Now I really wish we had gone. Baby Isaac is precious, I can't wait to see him in real life! So many new babies- did you know that Julie Haines had her baby last week, too? (She came to our Bible study once.)
