Joey and Kelly are the parents of Jonah (age 7) and Hannah (age 5). While they do enjoy teaching and tickling their children day by day, they titled this blog "TEACH and TICKLE" because they have found that God often uses their children to TEACH them something or simply give them joy by TICKLING them with their silliness. They attempt to share those stories here on this blog.
Kelly started this blog in 2007 as a creative outlet and a way to chronicle all the "Teach and Tickle" moments of their household. She is madly in love with her lifetime sweetheart Joey. (Literally lifetime - they met when they were 3 years old. You can read their love story HERE.) By birth, she is a middle child with all those issues. By profession, she is a history teacher. By calling, she is a mother. By choice, she is a follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Joey hangs on every word Kelly writes on this blog. One time, after an unusually long gap between updates, he informed her that it was high time she update her blog. She responded by commissioning him to write his own post for the blog. Hence, the best author of this blog was born. He is clever and witty and writes a lot like Dave Barry. But his posts are few and far between because, well...he has a day job that keeps him busy. He is a dentist and would be happy to drill in your mouth should any of you need that sort of thing.
